Flower Mound Police Arrest 10 Year Old Girl

10 year old Reagan Green was arrested over the weekend by the Flower Mound Police Department after a neighbor called police when Reagan was fighting with her sister.
No word on how many officers it took to subdue the 10 year old girl.

Oh this is not good she is just 10 years old and no action can be taken in such a minor age it is totally injustice.

This is absolutely absurd, what happened to these police departments, i just don't understand. This is just simple quarrel fights that every kid does with their siblings. This is total unjustice, they should have just convince the girl not to fight anymore. This is not happening for the security team.

if one child taunts another child for whatever reason they find suitable... it is learned from someone or 'somewhere'.
and if a child reacts in violence... it too is taught somehow, someway as a form of primal self preservation or defense.
but it is ALWAYS the parents, adults, and society as a WHOLE who are responsible for the poisoning of our youth. (That means that somehow, someway... YOU ALSO ARE AT FAULT FOR NOT HELPING TO PREVENT HATE AND VIOLENCE)

I am hoping that the police just overreacted to the situation. Otherwise this kid will end up in a Juvenile home during her teen years if she keeps this type of behavior going.

Fight the System
The Municipal Court system is nothing more than a REVENUE GENERATOR for local govt's. As someone suggested, people need to fight every single one of these things & JAM up the system. Make it cost them $$$ instead of making them $$$.
Awhile back I got arrested for some bogus ticket charges from over 4 years ago. When I went to Jail, I made sure they knew all about my health conditions. Diabetes (400+ Blood Sugar), High Blood Pressure (200+ over 100+), 8 Craniotomies (Brain Surgery), Heart problems etc. After they were forced to take me to an ER Doctor. (Note: I refused to use my Health Insurance. made them bill it to the little town) They decided to release me & drop all charges in the interest of justice. Or I think, in the interest of not wanting to pay a fortune for Medical Care. The hospital then tried to send me a bill for over $2,000.00 which I wrote a nice little letter showing how I was under the CARE & CUSTODY of this town & therefore they were liable for all charges. Never heard another word. Did hear back thru the grapevine that the Police got a reaming from the Mayor over having to pay this as it cut into their PROFIT MARGIN.
Tickets are CRIMINAL CHARGES. Demand your rights. Refuse to say anything without an ATTORNEY & if you cant afford one, demand one under your MIRANDA RIGHTS.

One of the best ways to undermine a fascist regime is to affect their economics. We need people who can see the bigger picture. When you work as a bullet maker for Nazis who are determined to kill you.... you should make bullets that malfunction. That is an example of leadership style/culture that rubs off on their friends who aren't trained to lead so they don't know when it is appropriate to do the same as their boss-buddy.

They have no choice
Ok, as dumb as this sounds but FM police were correct in their arrest of this 10 year old girl. In the fine State of Texas, you will find that the word "shall" is used very selectivly. This is done specfically to allow the responding Peace Officer the ability to use some discretion. Unfortunatly in this case, Assault under the Famly Violence Act is one of those cases that the law states that the responding officer "shall" arrest to prevent the continuation of the violence.
Yes it sucks, but if the officer didn't make the arrest then he was risking his license and career.
Someone should ask that girl
Someone should ask that girl if she was read her Miranda rights. If she was not, the case would likely be thrown out. Shame on those police for failure to use common sense. Did the mom have to pay bail to get her daughter released? Was the child taken to the juvenile jail or the adult one?

I think it is time that FM police are brought to task. Having lived in and around FM for the last 13 years, they are known for their heavy handedness is family issues. In addition, they have stopped my teenage son on 4 different occasions and searched his vehicle for no reason - -no probable cause. He is pulled over each time saying that the light on his license plate is out - -I checked and both lights are working. I think they must have too many officers without enough to do, cut back on the staff and maybe they will start focusing on what they are supposed to be doing - -keeping the town safe.

I absolutely agree 100%!! The FM police will pull people over for most any reason imaginable and use that as cause to search their vehicle. It has happened to me on several occasions, once for nothing more than an expired inspection sticker! It seems to me that in recent years the police are being used primarilly as revenue generators for the municipalities instead of actually keeping citizens of their communities safe. We end up paying for ticket after ticket while the revenue generated goes to purchase more video cameras and hire more police. The only viable option that ordinary citizens have is to CONTEST EVERY TICKET in hopes that it clogs up the court system to the extent that they have to focus on real crimes and back off of the "easy money" mechanisms like sitting on the side of the road with a radar gun.

I agree and sympothize with you; the reason for people having to register their car(s) is simply to find the person liable, should a vehicle be involved in an accicent, or a crime; once you have been pulled over for 'no registration', your name and address that you give is recorded as well as to whom the car belongs. For them to continually pull people over for lack of registration is just pure B/S. Someone should start a bill, proclaming that 'once a citizen is stopped and ticketed by the police, there is no need to further register the car, if the driver is the owner'. It would put an end to the continuing harrassment and double-jeopardy that keeps happening.

Police are supposed to be fine examples of citizenship not the fascist goose-stepping pigs that some are in reality. What gets me is when other people require the same level of strict discipline from the people around them. Maybe it works in your level of reality. Not in mine.

This was typical for the FM police. This girl is 10 years old and her name is all over the internet. These police must be under a lot of pressure to pay for their suburbans, helicopters, town beautification etc. The FM police could have used a warning as permitted by the very law they are using to justify their lack of judgment. I hope to see arrest records for every cop in Flower Mound's whose kids have an argument and fight - no exceptions. I mean it's the law right...? Isn't that what they said? And they are basically saying the parents have no right to intervene. You want to arrest our kids? Let's see you arrest your kids!!!!
