Dallas Mall Security At Issue Again
Edward Daley, general manager of The Galleria sent a letter around warning about a criminal incident last week at his mall.
The letter also notes that two similar incidents have recently occurred "at another area shopping center at Park Lane and Central Expressway."
Northpark Center is located at Park Lane and Central Expressway.
The letter follows:

Subject: Security Alert - Galleria Mall Garage Incident
Importance: High
Sensitivity: PrivateThe Galleria Mall reported an incident in the Orange Garage (retail) Tuesday night which we would like to share with you so that you may share it with tenants. We believe that the best deterrent to crime is an "aware" and vigilant public, which includes all of us who work here everyday. The more eyes we have on alert for suspicious activity, the safer our shopping/working environment will be.
At approximately 7:45 p.m. a male customer (mid 20s) parked in the Orange Garage, Level 1. He was approached by two African American male suspects who had parked two spaces away. The suspects showed the customer a weapon and asked for the customer's wallet and cell phone. The customer complied and the suspects got away. This appears to have been very quick and quiet. There were no witnesses and no description of the suspect's vehicle. The customer was parked not far from our valet stand in the Orange Garage.
We have since learned of two similar incidents at another area shopping center at Park Lane and Central Expressway. Those incidents occurred on January 22 and 25 and were identical to what's described above.
Your assistance is requested with reporting any suspicious activity you see on our property. If you see something suspicious, please contact our Security Department immediately at 972.458.2700. If you have any questions, please contact Grubb & Ellis Management Office.

Mall security
It is funny how crap like this can happen in broad daylight and "no witnesses" saw anything. Pretty sad that these two guys had to even try this.
